New Drive Challenge
The customer required a compact drive for their application utilising standard products. 17 high performance V-belts or a 200mm non-standard width high strength PowerGrip® GT3® timing belt are needed to transmit the load over this short centre distance. Since these aren’t feasible or standard components Poly Chain® GT™ Carbon™ was required.

Belt = 14MGT-1750-90 Poly Chain® GT™ Carbon™
DriveR Sprocket = 30 Tooth
DriveN Sprocket = 90 Tooth

This Poly Chain® GT™ Carbon™ belt drive is capable of transmitting the full 150kW in only 90mm wide, while being maintenance free and requiring no lubrication.
The customer continues to use Poly Chain® GT™ Carbon™ for other applications due to its small size and large sprocket/speed range options.
