Problem
A large coal mine needed to replace their slurry pump drive belts every 3-4 months. The belts would stretch, slip and cause unscheduled downtime on these critical drives.
Solution Description
Belts = 6 x SPC4250P Predator® V-belts
DriveR Pulley = 6/SPC315
DriveN Pulley = 6/SPC630
Benefits of Gates Product
The Predator® belts were installed on 2 similar drives and have so far achieved 12 months service life. In light of this success the site has now specified that Predator® belts are to be used on all critical drives.
