Rainer joined the Gates business in late 2021 as Managing Director, Australasia, overseeing Gates operations in Australia and New Zealand.

Rainer joins Gates from Mann+Hummel where he was Managing Director, Australia, moving to the region in 2012 from his native Germany. Rainer’s progressive leadership experience helped drive significant revenue and margin expansion via organic growth and new business development initiatives, including entry into new markets.       
Rainer brings to Gates significant experience with Gates Australia’s existing customer base and the company is sure to benefit from his leadership and expertise as Gates continues to grow its presence in the region.

Rainer graduated from the University of Applied Sciences in Mannheim, Germany with a degree in Mechanical and Process Engineering.
