Problem
The existing belts were only lasting 3-4 months. All other well known brands of belts were used but would eventually stretch, roll over and snap. The increased load on the other remaining belts would lead to them failing soon after.
Solution Description
Belts = 10 x SPB8000P Predator® V-belts
DriveR Pulley = 10/SPB212
DriveN Pulley = 10/SPB1400
Benefits of Gates Product
Standard construction V-belts are not powerful enough to handle this application.
Gates Predator® V-belts have Aramid tensile cords to easily handle heavy shock loads and resist stretch. The double Bare Back fabric cover protects the Predator® belts from damaged caused by belt slippage and debris in these types of environments.
The Predator® belts have successfully achieved 12 months service life with no maintenance required.
