MELBOURNE, November 3, 2023 – Gates Australia, a leading manufacturer of application-specific fluid power and power transmission solutions has announced they will be moving to a new office and warehouse building located in Dandenong South. Due to the significant growth of the business in recent years, the new building will offer more space and increased safety and sustainability measures for employees and the environment.
The new building will be 11,793 square meters and will offer 4 loading docks, an 860 square meter, two story corporate office and 118 car spaces. The new building will offer state of the art safety features including larger staging areas, one way truck traffic, and dedicated manual picking isles. These safety measures are designed to minimise risk and ensure the well-being of our employees. The new building also offers modern facilities as well as lunchrooms, a training room and meeting rooms. The offices will be held in a modern design and feature indigenous artwork in the lunchrooms and break areas. The new office fit-out has been designed by the Gates design team in Mexico.
In addition to the increased safety measures, the new facility is also designed with sustainability in mind. The building offers a variety of energy-efficient systems including high efficiency LED lighting, 99kWh PV solar system, EV chargers, rainwater harvesting, high performance glazing and drought tolerant landscaping. These systems will help to reduce the facility’s environmental impact and ensure a sustainable future for the company and the community.
