Gates Australia, as part of the Gates Corporation, a leading global provider of application-specific fluid power and power transmission solutions, announced today in partnership with major distributor Southcott Hydraulics the extension of their sponsorship of Supercars team Kelly Racing and team driver Andre Heimgartner.

After a successful partnerships in 2018 and 2019 Gates Australia in partnership with Southcott Hydraulics are excited to continue the sponsorship into the 2020 Supercar series. With team Kelly Racing moving from Nissan Altima’s to Ford Mustangs for the 2020 season both organisations are excited at the potential the team has with this new platform for this year’s championship.

Gates Australia and Southcott Hydraulics will have prominent branding featured on the rear wheel arch of Andre Heimgartners #7 NED Racing Mustang. As part of the development of the new engine package Gates Australia has also supplied micro-v® and timing belts to ensure efficient and reliable operation of the new 5.0 Ford V8 racing engine.

Todd Kelly, Co-Owner of Kelly Racing stated “While we’ve done a lot on this project ourselves, we’ve had the support and products from a few of our partners like Gates with the belts on the engine. Having reliable products like these really gave us peace of mind during this whole process and we thank them for that.”

Gates Australia and Southcott Hydraulics look forward to being involved in an exciting 2020 Supercars Series which kicks off on February 20th at the Superloop Adelaide 500.
