Innovative Solutions for High-Pressure, High-Impulse Hydraulic Applications

Gates introduces GlobalSpiral™ High™ (GSH) and GlobalSpiral Plus™ (GSP) no-skive couplings for heavy-duty hydraulic applications in mining, construction, drilling and other high-pressure, high-impulse industrial applications. These couplings are an extension of Gates GlobalSpiral™ coupling line. They have been reengineered to handle pressures up to 6,000 psi for -24 (1-1/2") and -32 (2") I.D. hose operating in the toughest working environments. Couplings are tested to 1,000,000 impulse cycles, double the SAE standard of 500,000 impulse cycles.

GSP couplings are available in over 30 thread configurations including SAE, an four times better corrosion resistance than the SAE ASTMB117 specification. GSH and DIN, BSP, Komatsu-style, JIS and CAT flange.

• No skiving is required with GSH and GSP couplings. This saves time, labour, equipment and assembly errors. And the shop area stays clean and odour free. The result is premium quality assemblies and lower costs.

GSH Couplings

• The GSH coupling is a one-piece connector that replaces Gates line of Power Crimp^® Max (PCM) couplings. It is designed for crimping with Gates -24 and -32 EFG5K and EFG6K 6-spiral hose.

GSP Couplings

• The GSP coupling is a two-piece design with separate stem and ferrule that replaces Gates line of Power Crimp Spiral (PCS) couplings. It is designed for crimping with Gates -24 and -32 EFG3K 4-spiral hose. In addition, GSP couplings can also be used on 1- and 2-wire braided hose replacing Power Crimp (PC) couplings for -24 and -32 hose applications.
