Problem
There was 4-6 maintenance inspections per year required to check tensions and replace components. The high number of drives meant that some were overlooked. Unchecked drives lead to unscheduled maintenance and downtime costs.

The Poly Chain® GT™ Carbon™ belt drive ran for 24 months. Maintenance and downtime have been eliminated. The new drive weighs 59% less resulting in a much lower overhung load on shafts. An efficiency increase and power consumption reduction of 5% was achieved, which translates to $2000 per year savings. This site has 50 Warman pump drives so overall savings potential is significant. Drive reduced in width from 213 to 106mm.
