In this assignment, Carl will be responsible for the Gates Australia commercial organisation, sales, marketing and customer support teams. Carl will provide local leadership and oversee the distribution facilities owned by our Gates global operations. In addition, he will be responsible for New Zealandoperations. 

From a strategic viewpoint, Carl will assume the challenges of executing the Gates corporate vision which is for Gates to be a premier supplier of power transmission and fluid power products. 

Based on this vision, Gates aim is to continue to provide valuable solutions that serve their end markets better than anyone else. This applies to all parts of the Gates business including product development, marketing, administration and sales. 

Gates products and services are focused on customers in five key end market segments. These include: automotive (light auto), transportation (heavy duty segment), energy/exploration/extraction (mining, oil and gas), infrastructure and agriculture, and process and specialty (industrial, recreation and other).
